The Cape Cod Commission voted unanimously to forward the amended 2018 Regional Policy Plan to the Assembly of Delegates and Barnstable County Commissioners at its December 13 meeting.
The RPP is a requirement of the Cape Cod Commission Act and is intended to provide a coherent set of goals, policies, and standards to guide planning and development on Cape Cod. The RPP guides the Commission’s planning and regulatory work, as well as provides a framework for planning at the town level.
The RPP was formally submitted to the Assembly of Delegates at their December 19 meeting. The Assembly will hold a public hearing on the document and consider its approval it as a county ordinance in January; it will then be submitted to the Barnstable County Commissioners for adoption.
